But 54 of those yards were by Huntley ... on 6 carries. Garoppolo isn't going to do that: he only has 50 yards on the year (on 37 attempts ... 1.4 ypc.)
Other than Huntley the Ravens had 101 yards on 26 carries, 3.9 ypc.
32 of those yards came on one Freeman run around left end. Without that run: 25 carries, 69 yards, 2.8 ypc.
Will the Rams play better run D when they don't have to worry about a running QB? Can they correct whatever issue resulted in that 32 yard run? I guess we'll see ...
And yes, it's possible that the Rams will face Lance instead of Garoppolo. Lance is a threat to run, of course, but not the threat Huntley is (4.4 ypc vs. 6.3)
Our run defense is quite good right now. Rams survived that game in part because of their ability to hold that Ravens attack somewhat in check. If they hadn't it would have looked like last year when we couldn't stop them.
Right now we have one of the best defenses in the league. It's very balanced. Can slow both run and pass. What we need is them to play the way they have been playing, and the offense to be patient and not turn it over. Just that, and this will be a win.
