Jets vs. Buccaneers

January 05, 2022 12:16AM
While watching the red zone channel, I had assumed the Jets had this game in hand. I wasn't surprised that the Bucs came back and won but I didn't know, or care, about the details. But this sequence really brings into question a team's intentions and integrity. Up 24 to 20 with 2 minutes to go, the Jets have 4th and 2 near the goal line. Granted, it's tempting to go for the score and the win but how do you not take the FG and go up by 7? And then, to call a QB sneak with 2+ yards to go? Was this an audible by the QB? Which doesn't make sense either. That box was stacked and in no way an open gap that a QB would audible to. Were the Jets throwing this game for draft position? Are they just that incompetent? Not that I think much of them but I have a hard time believing their decision making is THAT poor.
