Tough draw for us in our extra game, but luckily they were without Lamar. Ugly wins are still wins. And having to come back on the road is a solid test.
The Great
1) New #1 in Cooper Kupp. 15 games with 90+ yards and he beat Bruce in 16 games.
2) Sony Michel running the ball. Gotta resign him, good thing RBs are cheap. Given the draft class and other pending FAs he should be about 3-4 million per ... maybe less. I like that he doesn't have much tread on his tires after being basically shelved in NE.
3) Beckham on 4th down.
4) Being -2 in turnover margin and winning.
The Good
5) I thought Van Jefferson was the most consistent today he's been.
6) Gaines playing through pain.
7) Donald has how many TFLs this year?
8) Von Miller popping up more.
9) Darious Williams PBU factory is back open.
10) Higbee being a potent weapon.
11) O line back healthy.
12) Both Passing TDs, Stafford and WRs.
The Bad
13) Hey Ramsey and Rapp, you're on TV. That's embarrassing.
14) The Deep INT.
15) Overall pass blocking.
16) Michel's dropsies.
17) How many times we went empty set. Like ... I get it on 3rd and 10.
18) Getting away form the run when we're rattling off 6 yards a clip. I get that it might be intentional to hide certain formations and plays we're saving for the playoffs ... but if it's not that it's simply not the right call.
The Ugly
19) Stafford's pick 6 ... again. FOUR this year.
College
20) I am really excited for the senior bowl, has the best lineup in years because of how many graduated juniors and 5th year seniors are in the mix as well. Best group of RBs I've ever seen in Mobile, by far. TEs as well.
21) I was disheartened by Cincinnati's performance and thought it didn't bode well for future group of 5 schools, then UGA basically did the same thing to Michigan.
22) I think bowl season needs to have players declare they're not going to play BEFORE they schedule the games. Some games where you're missing one guy on each side came out even ... But some really suffered.
23) EW Shrine game is grouping the teams by expected position ... so one team is 3-4 one is 4-3 ... one is 11 personel one is 12. I like that.
