Here are the possible scenarios for the 49ers.
1. SF wins
* 49ers — No. 6 seed.
2. SF loses, NO loses, PHI loses
* 49ers — No. 6 seed.
3. SF loses, NO loses, PHI wins
* 49ers — No. 7 seed.
4. SF loses, NO wins
* 49ers will be out of the playoffs
In Scenario 1 the Rams would have to finish as the #3 seed. Not sure who else has to win or lose for this to happen.
In Scenario 2 the Rams would be the #2 seed and would face the #7 seed, whoever that is.
In Scenario 3 the Rams would be the #2 seed and would face the 49ers.
And my favorite, in Scenario 4 the 49ers don't even make the playoffs.
