So, Stafford is who he is. There is danger with the ball deep in our own territory, danger that McVay could avoid by calling better plays. 3rd and 2 from inside our own 20, and Sean calls a play that gets picked. Why not run Michel there? Even if he doesn't make it and we punt I'm fine with it.
Bottom line is that McVay needs to recognize Stafford's challenges and figure out when he should take the ball out or Staffford's hands. Wouldn't hurt to consider different progressions too (Van J was wide open on the triple covered OBJ pick).
McVay has to put on his Big Boy pants and make Stafford better by choosing the correct playcalls. If I can see it, so can he.
