I, too, thought that the play calling suggested that Sean was looking more to run the clock than to score TDs.
There is some of the playbook not being optioned when they were inside the 15 yard line to my eye.

I think the comment that the Vikings were playing for the playoff lives is accurate
They truly were desperate to get the "W" there.........
