You're right but I should have said since the lawsuit. That's been going on for a while and I'm sure Stan has made it clear he wasn't going to foot the bill for longer than last week.
I mean, it doesn't seem reasonable to me that the Rams went from the most disciplined, least penalized team in the league in route to a 7-1 record and now they get penalized like crazy over the last month. Whitworth NEVER gets called but he's been getting multiple flags in recent games. It isn't just the Rams.
The Cowboys, Chiefs, Rams...all were dominating and productive and then became inept within the course of a couple of games. Maybe that's normal but it seems strange to me. I can understand a team regressing and not maintaining top production but many teams are going through complete breakdowns. I find it difficult to believe that something can work so well and then, just not. Not with so many.
It seems the league has either had an epiphany on defense or something else weird is affecting things.
