It's clear his model is not sustainable in the NFL. He mortgages the future and now that it has blown up there's no way he can expect any decent free agents to sign with the Rams in the future. This may work in the NBA but not in the NFL. Too many pieces are needed to field a consistently competitive team. And with no draft picks this team is destined for a long dry spell.
