I think it might have to do with scheme.
Staley had his corners pressing and tight, and they could contain and that freed up AD to go all out.
Raheem seems to have the corners play way off thus relying on the d line to cover the run more, this might keep AD from exploding a bit as his assignment might be to watch run first. Just a thought, have not looked at film to see if what I am sensing is reality at all.

Morris is not having his corners contesting passes as aggressively, particularly on 3rd down.
Not having Ramsey erasing opponents best weapon as much.
Sloppier tackling.
Can’t get off the field as well as formerly which keeps Stafford on the sideline.
Can’t seem to make the most obvious of adjustments mid-game in a timely manner.
But other than the above, let’s pretend that it’s the same D as last year. Sure aren’t the same results, though.
