IMO
No Woods---Rams have to adust. OBJ is just simply different
he will not be able to run out of backfield, IMO--if he does
I will eat crow
He's soft. Woods is hard.
Woods can block break tackles. All those things
OBJ cannot play "behind the LOS" so, maybe
fewer of the bunch formations, or maybe OBJ
is the lone guy and Jefferson comes over to the "bunch" side
They are working #18 to that bunch side, too, but I have little hope
for him for now, maybe in Dec-Jan
anyway, at his PEAK, OBJ can win on slats, and intermediate routes
and timing routes, meaning maybe more Stafford under center
more play action. that brings LBers is and more space
ion the area where OBJ operates
It means a CHANGE and maybe foces McVay to do things that
other teams have not figured out.
I have been as critical of Stafford as anyone but I have never said he sucks
I have said he's never been elite--I said he has a few elite traits
But he can have streaks of great games---he is capable of winning
with the Rams. And a healthy OBJ on the opposite side of
Kupp MAY be that change
Rather than have them on same side like he had Woods and Kupp
and usually a TE in the bunch.
Just a thought
