Losing Woods being a psychological blow is a good way to put it. That close to a big game affects a team. And I give credit to Skowronek but reality is he is a WR6 rookie that was asked to suddenly be their WR2 on two days notice. In the long run this extra experience will help him develop and I think he will be a good WR4 in 2022. But he was not going to just fill that gap.
I think the fake FG was a signal of lack of faith in the team in the 2nd half and show of desperation backfired when in fact as you said being down 21-10 they could have still stayed running the ball in the 3rd.
Not having Deayon at CB, which I did not really realize during the game, was another blow. Elevated Long and Rochell into roles they could not handle. Rochell has a bright future I think but is going to be up and down as a rookie. Combined with Williams noticeable decline in performance and they basically had Ramsey at CB and that was it.
