But that McXBox’s problem. It’s not that he doesn’t incorporate the run game, it’s that he doesn’t respect the run game. His notion of the run game is to set up the pass. The run game is an essential part of the game that changes psychic dynamics. He needs to take it seriously and not as an arm of the pass game.
Stafford is holding onto the ball too long....McVay should have set up screen passes to running back to slow the pass rush.
The Rams defense was neutralized against the 49ers because they have 2 players in Kittle and Samuel who the Rams don't match up well with especially in dink and dunk passes. Rams linebackers and safety are either too slow or too small to cover those 2 guys.
They should have stacked the box and blitzed Garrapolo and dared him to throw the bomb....his weakness is handling pressure. Instead they played to his strength.....allowing him quick short passes to avoid the pass rush and letting his receivers get yards after catch.....
I'm sick and tired of Raheem Morris's defensive scheme.....It's so passive it's driving me nuts....no blitz and no stacking the box and playing tight one on one coverage.
What AI48 just said.
We is being outcoached every week anymore. McVay and his staff better do some damned good self scouting during this bye. Other coaches seem to be feasting on our tendencies.
