Not so fast there Stafford was pressured we know that but it wasn't he didn't have any time thing. He held the ball because he looks weren't open or they were taking to long. He had a bad time because tennesse defense was excellent that game. Guys weren't getting open and mcvay play calling was super suspect. Would obj help, possibly but it wouldn't have hurt we missed on a couple of plays there with the van deep drop, Higbee out of bounds td etc.
Yeah, that's all true. He did have time on a couple of of those sacks and acknowledged he should have taken the underneath options. But I don't think OBJ would've made any difference if he was on the field last week. He would not have changed the dynamics that resulted in Stafford's sometimes poor decision-making. And I get a little nervous about Stafford saying he needs to learn from the various mistakes he's made. He's a seasoned vet and should already have learned those lessons by now (particularly the play from the EZ). I sure hope that wasn't a manifestation of the style of play that Stafford has exhibited against winning teams throughout his career. I have a nagging concern that those are just the kind of mistakes he makes against teams that can apply pressure.
