that I have not seen in years. Our OL were children compared to the grown men of the Titan DL.
Seeing Edwards get put on roller-skates and driven back into Stafford was...astonishing.

The Titans had great cover schemes against McVay/Stafford and our game plan....but the reason it worked so well was because they had 7 guys in pass coverage and were getting home with only 3-4 DL on the pass rush. If any team gets pressure with only 4 rushers...it's gonna be a very hard day for the offense.

Stafford gave up 14pts himself.....2 pick6s essentially....other than that we'd win 16 to 14. McVay gets frustrated and instead of changing stripes he tries to be MORE Tiger....alot like Martz used to do. It's okay when it works as it does70-80% of the time...but we will endure clunkers, at times, that are quite humiliating(see Ravens last year).

I think you summed it up perfectly Sun. It was a combo of all those things that made us lose this game, not just one thing.

We are going to lose another game or 2 this year IMO. To who? How badly? That remains to be seen. A good team will learn from these type of games and make adjustments or at the very least they will be a little more prepared if other teams try to play us this way too.

It does seem to be a trend that we tend to struggle against some of the bigger more physical defenses...just like we did with Martz. It would be nice if we can find a way to fix that but it would mean getting bigger players on our OL and adjusting our schemes against those "bigger" defenses.

I always loved the BIG OL that can dominate like we had for so long in the "70's but those teams were more "run oriented". We could put in almost any RB and they would do well.

In today's NFL and pass oriented offenses seem to like smaller OL that can move better/quicker and I get that give a big old Jackie Slater clone any day of the week and twice on Sunday! beer cheer smiley

#HelmetHornsMatter

“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.

“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
