But it's obvious he's still learning. And I think most of us knew that would be the case.
Unlike many other divisions, it seems the NFC West has had more than its share of surprise bursts of once in a decade excellent teams. Look at the history. The Rams won the division in McVays first 2 years but appears to be heading for 3 in a row without the division championship.
IMO, McVay needs to bring in some more experienced coaches to help him analyze himself better, the play calling, game situation advise, even look at player evaluation.
McVay is good. The history is obviously there and that didn't happen because he was handed a top notch team. But he still needs more experience and experienced coaching help could benefit.
It's an unusual road the Rams are on with McVay as head coach.
