Floyd has a jump step and power in his rush repertoire, but he's very much a strong side only type rusher. Meaning sure he can get some pressures blindside but you're not gonna get the most from him in that role. Where he is maximized is using his length to thrash TEs and intimidate QBs on the strong side edge.
This isn't the Von of his prime by any means. But he's still above average as a rusher and has been playing a lot of strong side due to the RT matchups which is a testament to his strength and ability. With the Rams though he is best used on the blindside as a bookend opposite Floyd.
And by the way Von's true impact won't be seen vs the Titans even if he plays well which I expect. It will be vs the Cards or Packers or Cowboys where our previously soft edge on that side will now be much harder to beat in contain. Von's a technician on top of his talent. This is a really big addition to a very good defense, and if they can stay healthy I expect this unit to be a lot tougher snap to snap with him added.
