2 things that I’m gonna be watching Sunday
How does DeCamillis’ coverage units look?
Morris’ D. Is he getting away from that disgusting soft zone crap?
How Morris evolves as a DC with this talented roster will determine whether we have an early playoff exit or advance to the SB (assuming that DeCamillis also gets his act together). It’s really that important of an issue
The Rams special teams will not be an issue at the Texans Sunday. If they are, feel free to splash my response on Monday.
Morris' soft zone is not as bad as you make it out to be 7 games into his first season as the Rams new DC.
The Rams are 6-1 and have held their last 3 opponents to 17, 11 and 19 points. (holding opponents to lest than 20 points is great in the NFL)
How Morris evolves as DC doesn't lineup with your post of 2 things you're going to watching Sunday? You meant to say you will be watching the Morris led defense over the next month or more to see how he evolves.
I won't be putting any stock into how the game at the Texans pans out.
How the Rams play and perform against the Titans, 49ers and Packers in their next 3 contests will be the true barometer.
Sunday's game at the Texans won't tell me much of anything. They can blow them out or win ugly. Just get the win and get ready for the Titans.
Two things.First, the Texans game is the only Rams game I can observe this Sunday. Of course the later games will be of great interest, but my OP was about this next game.
Second, I’ve seen how good this Rams D with essentially the same personnel can be and Morris’ version is a distant second, Morris gas made a couple of needed changes recently but I’m hoping to see these continue. Our upcoming playoff success depends on it.
I stand by my response.
First, second or third things.. The Texans game will not answer any questions imo.
enjoy the game by rams brother
