Mills starting at QB. They traded away a very good RB. Their offensive locker room leader publicly called the trade "bullshi+".
If management has thrown in the towel, why would the players risk careers? I doubt the Texans play desperate like the Lions did; they'll just play.
Rams didn't have a good outing against the Lions. They likely got an earful all the way around. Especially STs, which is what made the game so much closer than it ever should have been. When you give a team 3 extra possessions, that's really awful.
Doesn't matter a whit that it's in the Texan's stadium. Don't imagine the fans will be all that excited.
Doesn't matter if Whit might not play. Noteboom is very steady and experienced at LT.
Stafford simply doesn't have bad games. Neither does Kupp. Henderson is playing very well. Our Oline is terrific and in synch and will be even if Noteboom is the starter.
On D, I think this is the best game for Jones to get his feet wet. Texas is a pretty simple O due to a rookie QB and their scheme is basic anyway. "See ball, get ball carrier" ought to be the simple instruction to him. Stop the run first, keep it tight there, and the back 4 or 5 shouldn't have much problem with the Texans skill players.
Hoping this is over by the end of the 3rd quarter and some guys are pulled out to give others some game time.
