as across the entire NFL teams are going for the 1st downs seemingly much more....went to the 1st game and the bears drove all the way down and went for it on 4th and lost out.....they did that several times that game even when in FG position and lost out.....the D seems to respond at a better rate on closing down a 4th down attempt then they do on 3rd downs...by my eye by a considerably better rate.

I stated in a post that even with those good field positions due to the ST F ups they kept them out of the end zone. As I have said they have problems allowing drives to go for some distances....for now they are holding teams to at best FG's.....but teams are coming up that end drives with TD's......allowing teams to have 80+ yard drives and combine with them getting 7's will take time away from our O, and possibly put us in a catch up mode......not to mention time of possession over time and games (17+) can wear out defenses as well as open up more opportunities of injury staying on the field so much....
