Anyone actually watched Goff play with the Lions? I have.
The Lions don't have anything near the OL or skill players surrounding Goff as he had in LA, which just makes things worse for him. The O looks pretty simplistic and I still see the horizontal field being cut in half for him in roll outs, so he can better identify coverage and an open receiver.
And the D isn't much to write home about.
No reason to expect anything different than we've seen for 2 1/2 seasons.
Yes...
I've watched the Lions play this year.
I'm on record being a big time (top 5) Goff supporter on any forum from 2016 through 2018.
I realized after his performance in 2019, I needed to reevaluate my perception.
I began posting (week 1) in 2020 that Goff was on the hot seat.
I got smacked around on the Herd board by several members for giving my honest opinion.
I won't deny that Goff is currently surrounded by virtually the same talent he had under Fisher during his 2016 rookie season.
Even with his flaws, Jared is talented and the Lions are probably not a good fit for him long term.
I'm no longer emotionally invested and I hope the Rams win by double digits for the second week in a row.
For me, It's not about Goff and Stafford.
We already know Staff is the more talented and seasoned quarterback.
This game is the Lions at the Rams and I want the Rams to win big and improve their record to 6-1.
Drama sells tickets and it always will.
