Using Gamepass I have watched 2 of his games. And what I see is exactly the same Goff that we had in 2019 and 2020. Not confident. Erratic. A turnover machine. Unable to operate except in system.
The Lions don't have anything near the OL or skill players surrounding Goff as he had in LA, which just makes things worse for him. The O looks pretty simplistic and I still see the horizontal field being cut in half for him in roll outs, so he can better identify coverage and an open receiver.
And the D isn't much to write home about.
No reason to expect anything different than we've seen for 2 1/2 seasons.
Wasn't the narrative that the Lions had a really good OL and that Goff would be able to function behind them. Unlike the Rams OL which some argue was bad and that all the metrics showing otherwise were just deceptive?
Funny how quickly those things change.
