the next couple of games, these teams have lots of weaknesses. As for this past Giants game.... well, they were woefully undermanned, and got worse for them as the game went along. And watching that 1st quarter, still has me feeling skittish. Call it slow start, poor defensive calls, lack of the right personnel, lack of preparation, or just making the right adjustments... whatever. But both of the Offense and Defense looked very pedestrian. It's a little disconcerting. But.... it is also deadly for opponents when we are able to break that funk, and start hitting on all cylinders. This team can be very, very scary to play against if we can play a complete game. I think we haven't seen their best game yet....
Yeah, as Stafford said himself, Rams have not yet played their best game.
About the slow starts on Rams O, I think it might be possible that it’s taking McVay/Stafford a bit of time to figure out how that opponent has schemed to take away what Rams like to do. Those Giant LB’s were giving Rams fits in that first quarter. But after Rams made their ‘adjustments’ they were able to do most anything they pleased.
Just a theory, I dunno…
