The whole interception stat is crazy. If a QB throws a strike and hits his intended target in the hands and it bounced away into the Defender's how is that a negative stat for the QB? He did his job. Pass should've been caught and instead of getting a 1-1 and whatever yards he gets an 0-1 and an interception which kills his QBR. Stafford had one of those last game. Hit Kupp in stride right in the hands and it bounced up into the DBs mitts. Can't they come up with a intended targets and hits stat that covers the well thrown ball? Of course receivers also make circus catches which help the QB, but it all still bothers me. The other is the total yards. If a receiver gets a screen and takes it to the house the QB could get a 80 yard play while throwing the ball a foot. He could complete a go route 60 yards down the field which gives him 60 yards. Huh? Also, RBs YPC is a wacky stat because it hurts your stat to score from the 1 yard line. You did your job and scored a TD. Why does this get averaged into YPC? Need better stats.
