Now that the season is settling in, the haves and have nots are separating themselves.
And so we have some really outlandish almost college-like betting lines. Rams 15.5 over the Lions, Tampa 12.5 over Chicago, Arizona 17 over Houston.
BTW: I'm not a sports betting guy (or any gambling for that matter). But I've learned over the years that those Vegas bookmakers don't throw darts at balloons to make their picks. They're pretty darn good and no doubt have inside dope on teams (whether we like to hear it or not).
Something tells me that McVay will want to prove a point against the Goff Lions, and make that clear to Morris. As salty as McVay was after the laugher in New York, I think it's going to be pedal to the metal against Detroit. If anyone knows what Goff can and can't do, it's McVay. Have a hunch McVay will spend some time on the D this week. I think he will want to embarrass the Lions O.
The Lions couldn't be coming into a worse situation. The league's only winless team at 0-6. A disheartened HC and a QB who might be getting worse and not better. On the road. I doubt that SoFi will be filled up with boisterous Lions fans. I think everyone smells blood in the water. Let's face it; if the Giants' Jones wasn't as mobile as he was the Rams may have sacked him 10 times... for real. Goff? Not so much. And about every 3rd or 4th sack equals a fumble so.......
