Because Matt Stafford said his hand is not a problem.
I'm just curious, did you play organized sports? I guess high school would suffice, but I am really thinking about college, post-collegiate, or amateur sub-elite organizations.
Are you seriously basing your opinion on what Stafford says to the media? He said he was fine after it was swollen and wrapped when he banged it the first time. He beat the Cleveland Browns with a separated shoulder. He played with a broken back. He played with torn ligaments in his throwing hand. What he considers "fine" is not the same as uninjured.
I'm sure he will keep playing through whatever pain he's got in his hand but it's obvious that his hand isn't 100%. I don't care what he says.
