My biggest concern with Morris is his performance. He says in MamaRama's article that "Stats are for losers" but his are atrocious, especially 453 yards passing to Brady without a turnover. And I have not seen the switching like Fuller did last year to stop the Cowboys on 4th down.
DWill has not been put in position to break on any potential INTs (at least that I can remember). So has DW regressed under Morris' watch? For that matter, Rapp does not look good either. Aren't coaches supposed to improve player performance or is Morris passing the buck to his position coaches?
I remember that McVay took his sweet time before hiring Staley, but Raheem got hired in 2 minutes flat. It really concerned me but then again McVay has earned his stripes. I am certain that McVay is working behind the scenes with Morris, but the end results are not there yet. And Staley's defense had not blossomed yet in 2020, so I'll cut him some slack. Very little slack.
I do wonder how this defense would look under Coach Henny or Coach E. But I hope that Morris can right the ship starting with the Seachickens on Thursday.
