Jim, 1st off, thanks for the pics. And you're right; the coverage there is solid. The problem (on that play, as I see it) is Long didn't make a play on the ball. He made a play on the receiver, after he caught it. We can't say sure if that is a product of Morris' tutelage or just Long's lack of aggression.
You wish he would have made a better play on the ball. There was anotherone where he kind of got pushed off by Hopkins
But if they want to put in a more physical freak like Rochelle, I am good with that--we've seen what Long is and he is ust okay
As I said in another post---our guys who get snaps are all backups moving into starting lineup--Long is one of them
by starting I mean the I don't know 15-16 guys who play on the D.
Fuller changes positions.
We miss Morgan Fox, #96, and #92 not have much impact. Robinson is a downgrade.
Long is not as good as Hill was... and that's the bottom line
Hill was the starter with Ramsey and when we went to 5 DBs WIlliams come and play outside
and Hill or Ramsey would play slot.
Long is in Hill's role--kind of--need to review because I forget but will check
I say get Rochelle more snaps---but still, Long got beat by perfect throws, too. That TD
was good coverage but it was a perfect throw and a physical mismatch, Green is 6-4, long
is whatever--4-5 inches shorter.
