That he was being accused of taking the teeth out of the Rams defense right before he ended up leading them to a monstrous run haha. Good joke though.
I think the defense did play better later in the year if I remember correctly.
That post was from October when the D was giving up a lot of long 15-18 play drives. They were definitely "toothless"! lol
Gotta give Morris credit though. The defense played much better as the season progressed. If they hadn't, we might not have a ring right now.
I am thinking it was due to several things, like players playing better ie; Von Miller later in the year and some "adjustments" (not sure that's the right word lol ) by Morris too. I also think McVay and Morris discussed the issues they had early on.
This past year, I wonder if Morris had a "discussion" with McVay about how bad the offense was???
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
