One of my favorite things to hear is the day my buddy, an avid 49 er fan, heard on the radio we got Matt Stafford. Background on my friend: my friend his Middle Eastern, MBA from Wharton, he is void of emotion, an analytical machine. I heard the story from his wife which makes it that much better, she asked me who Matt Stafford is, I said, "why"? She said when we were driving and they announced that Matt Stafford was going to the Rams, my buddy got so sick and almost started to cry.
I am trying to draw a picture, to have a lady, who speaks good but choppy English and has no idea about football or football players, tell this story of how my buddy lost his reason to live, because the Rams acquired Matt Stafford, and how my buddy lost all bodily functions (he did not I just threw that in there.Makes me roll.
We get together 3-4 times a year and everytime I have her share the story of what went on when Stafford signed with the Rams.
