Losing Akers in the end will probably make Rams fall short

However, in the development of the team for the longer term, I think it may end up being a positive. The Rams will be better if Akers is a supplemental piece to keep the defense honest vs a focal point because Passing wins in today's NFL!

The identity of the team is shaping up very nicely and I don't know if it would have played out like that with Akers healthy.
