While the offensive line has vastly exceeded expectations, I think Stafford himself deserves much of the credit. His ability to read defenses, anticipate the blitz, feel rushers and move around in the pocket to buy time and get rid of the ball quickly are
huge factors in the protection equation. I was a fan of Goff and really like the kid, but the truth is, in many instances where Stafford was able to extend a play for a second or two, those would probably have been Goff sacks and occasional fumbles. And the line would've been likely been viewed as being at least partially responsible for it.
I think it's a combination of both improved line play and Stafford's ability to read defenses, anticipate the blitz, his excellent pocket presence, mobility and awareness. It's all working together really well right now.
