Rewatched last year's Tampa game last night and while these are two moderately different teams now a few things stood out...
1) Our OL, which was minus Big Whit, had a very good day pass blocking. I say pass blocking because Tampa's defense even sans Vita Vea was stout against the run.
2) Goff since he was protected had one of his better games. Highly efficient but even with that still had two Goff-like turnovers.
3) McVay needs little encouragement to go pass happy, nearly completely abandoning the run game but seemed well equipped to handle everything Bucs Def Coordinator tried.
4) Woods and Kupp were magnificent and eviscerated the Bucs coverage scheme.
5) Bucs devoted a ton of personnel to stop AD so other players in front 7 had chance to step up.
6) Ramsey needs to stick with Mike Evans. Evans mauls our other dbs.
7) The two Bucs that did the most damage to us are surprisingly AB and JPP (who won't be at today's game). With Ramsey occupied with Evans, AB did to us what Kupp and Woods did to them. JPP was the most disruptive player on their defense with an int and knocked down passes.
Every game is unique unto itself but hopefully this will be a game we can fondly look back on as the season progresses.
