September results have impact, but really it's the last third of the season that really matters.
The Rams have had significant turnover in players and coaches, and it takes more than a couple of games for it to come together, let alone fine tune it.
Sure all games have importance, and the Rams have done well to start out 2-0. I hope (and lean towards) them becoming 3-0. But if they emerge 2-1, that's OK.
Might this game help to show the Rams where they have some things to shore up? It could. But lots of time to do the shoring up if that's what's indicated.
There's loads of hype because indeed these are two top NFC teams. I'm excited for it. But experience says the timing isn't right to get too high if the Rams win, or too low should they lose.
