1. he doesn't fit what Morris wants to do.
2. he's a 2 down backer that was buried behind Reeder, young, Howard and Jones.
3. he's stiff. always has been. he is incapable of going sideline to sideline, and cannot turn and run with the more athletic TEs .
4. he lacks instincts, that pick that Reeder made at the goal line last week Kiser wouldn't have made, Reeders instincts put him in positions to make plays even though he lacks elite physical traits. Kiser just doesn't have that.
Kiser is a good kid, but kind of a dinosaur as far as ILBers go these days. sure, guys like Devin White are as big as Kiser, but they are rare physical freaks. look at Paddy Fisher, a tackling machine at Northwestern for 3 years. goes undrafted, then cut as an udfa. 6'-4" 246 lbs. great run stuffer in the middle, but stiff as a board.
