It has been a surprisingly smooth transition with the offensive line. I was concerned about losing OL coach Kromer. That was a surprise coaching change. With a new, young, coach from the college ranks replacing an established NFL offensive line coach, and Carberry missing training camp time due to being on the COVID list combined with the change of plans at the Center position during camp, there were reasons to be concerned.
I thought Allen played well overall and the offensive line as a unit has played well overall in the first two games.
We had a pretty clear sense from camp reports that Stafford was as good as had been hoped. We did not get to see the starting offensive line or nickel/slot CB in preseason games. It looks like those questions have been answered in a positive way.
Now we need Sony to stay healthy.
