The kid has a coach he should be listening to but he's busy running his mouth. Real bad sign for his future IMO. Everyone in this league is talented, but at this level talent alone is usually not enough. Players need to take coaching and have a strong drive to improve and excel in order to string together good games let alone a career.

Busts seem to have certain traits in common like not being willing to take coaching, not willing to do the work, being on their own program, etc. You need to be a piece in a machine that serves a role for that defense to be greater than the sum of its parts, not a guy who does his own thing. Wouldn't go so far as to say he's a bust or anything but if I'm Detroit I would not be happy with him right now.
