You see kids blast through Pop Warner, Jr High, Sr High and even the NCAA, without much accountability OUTSIDE of their natural talent. It why so often we see guys who run like a deer, cut on a dime but cannot grasp an NFL playbook. They are too good for film study . It's why I liked (AND STILL DO) Tom Coughlin. He did not put up with their crap. Say what you want about the guy but during his three stints in the NFL, as HC, he took the BRAND NEW Jags to two AFC Titles. The first in the second season. Goes to NY Giants...Strahan is the biggest WHINER about being fine for a RULE...Be 15 Min early for meetings (How effing hard is that???) Tiki Barber beached n griped about TC but TC taught him how to NOT fumble every other play. In 2-3 years, Giants are Super Bowl Champs. TC goes back to an EXTREMELY lame Jags team in a front office roll. In NO time, they are back in the AFC Title.
I'm rambling, I know. But for what Pro players make, in ALL sports, there are way toooooo many DIVAS.
