I have concerns about run defense and the amount of catches we allow in front of us. It looked like Zone coverage.
I think Stafford showed some good stuff and has throws he a a few can make but also saw some plays that looked too familiar when they were not taking shots against an over matched defense. Bears are not a great team offense or defense.
Perhaps more rust for our negative plays but we saw more wide open WRs in this game then all of last year and Jared had nothing to do with that.
I hope the rust wears off on defense and offense but I also hope our wrs keep getting open. Stafford should be fine and yes an up grade in experience and physical talent but that is not the key need since he has more talent than many top tier QBs who have been more successful.
This should be a great season but only great as our parts. Nice to have Jackson and Jefferson opening things up.
