Okay, I know that this is the lamest type of thing to be excited about, but I was mentioned specifically by Jourdan on the Eleven Personnel podcast that came out today.
She did not say my name, but she said something about the fan who always called out Jourdan's "Tortured Metaphor of the Week." And that was definitely 100% me. Those of you who listened to her and Rich religiously last season as I did know that Jourdan loves metaphors. Her big one last year was "a fist with one finger sticking out" which she mentioned in multiple podcasts. And whenever she came up with a new one, I would tease her in the comments about a new "Jourdan's Tortured Metaphor of the Week." I never got any response from her, but clearly it stuck because now 8 months later she spontaneously used the phrase. Listen for it this year, and each time you hear it know that it came from me.
For real though folks, if you are not listening to the Eleven Personnel podcast (which is free btw even without an Athletic subscription) are missing the best Rams analysis out there. I know others have pointed here that we have one of the best beat reporters in all of sports in Jourdan Rodrigue - a football fanatic entirely focused on the Rams who works as hard as anyone out there and has great contacts on the team. I just pray we get to keep her for a few years.
