I think he's responsible for part of his demise. He insisted on running the ball and like most all other QBs who run too much it caught up to him. After his knee injury against the Rams a few years ago he said he was not going to change his style, i.e. running the ball. At that point he certainly was a injured-man-walking; just a matter of time.

The NFL is unkind to running QBs. Learn to pass well if you're an NFL QB.
