Great effort. You definitely made your point about how hard the decisions should be for cut downs for Tuesday. I agree with many of your decisions, but I also think you jumped the gun a tad. Here's why. Many of these youngsters will be in the PS debacle Sat night. Their performances might change minds. Also, unfortunately, guys might get injured in this game. So, maybe a young safety gets hurt and instead of cutting him, waiting for waiver wires to pass, reclaiming him and sticking him of the practice squad, you are putting him on the PUP list or IR. Also, we could pick up a player or two from other teams' cuts. We can still sign a FA who has been sitting out and now is getting antsy about not having a gig. Like an IOL. Maybe another RB. Maybe even a TE. What's more, after the first real game you can sign players with unguaranteed contracts and we've done this in the past. The truly absurd thing of it is why if the owners are adding a game to the schedule are the teams limited to 53 players? We will probably only keep 2 qbs. Not because we don't need three but because of the insane limitation of these scarce rosters. This Perkins kid should be the 3rd qb. And he'll probably get cut because he doesn't play STs and shouldn't see the field except for an emergency. The dumber ting is only being able to play some of the 53 come game day. Why? Why should a member of your small roster have to be inactivated? The whole thing is totally cracra.
