Again my point is being totally avoided.....Everyone voicing in this discussion is dealing with the need of the vaccine and boosters in the future.....I am attempting to bring into view the seeming total omission of the fact of natural immunity done through recovery from this virus.
Who is omitting this? Certainly not the scientific community (of which I believe we should all rely on).
In the other thread in this forum dealing with Johnny Hekker, Golden Ram posted a very interesting study out of Israel that suggested that antibodies derived from recovery from natural infection provides better protection than the antibodies derived from the Pfizer vaccine. This study was only released this past week.
Prior to that, though, the CDC had released a study (again, from only this month) indicating the exact opposite (although all three US-approved vaccines were included in that study - not just Pfizer).
So, we only have two studies here that reached different conclusions. I don't believe that they will be the last.
But this issue is far from being ignored.
In the meantime, though, we have three approved vaccines that have been proven (through 100's of millions of vaccinations) to be both safe and effective. Therefore, it's prudent for the world to continue the vaccination route (even for those who have recovered from Covid infection).
Again, who is omitting the topic of natural immunity?
The CDC, the media, politicians are omitting the topic of natural immunity. We have over 14 studies that show natural immunity is much more effective the the vaccine. Up to 70 times more effective against the Delta Variant speciffically. Some of these studies are now months old. Rand Paul has been screaming from the rooftops for months that natural immunity should be taken into consideration when discussing herd immunity.
The failure to acknowledge natural immunity is shocking. It’s telling millions Americans who have recovered from the virus that their natural immunity means absolutely nothing to the powers-that-be, who still insist that those with natural immunity vaccinate, wear masks, and live under the same COVID restrictions they seemingly want everyone else to live under.
“Wear a mask and get vaccinated!” people mindlessly shout while ignoring and suppressing any science that gets in the way of their simplistic answers, including information on real treatments for the virus that work to lower the death rate. Suppressing information during this pandemic will only lead to prolonging it.
