Tomorrow's Raiders game may have some bearing on the LA Rams RB roster. This article suggests that if the rushing offense lays another egg, that may prompt the team to look for and claim a bigger rusher off the waiver wire.

May be correct conclusion

"...It’s not really much of a secret that the LA Rams running back room is not exactly stuffed full of heavyweights. After all, the big boy on the block was 5-foot-10 217-pound running back Cam Akers, who just so happens to be gone from the active roster for the foreseeable future. With his absence, the LA Rams rushers are 174-pound Otis Anderson Jr., 188-pound Raymond Calais, 205-pound Jake Funk, 208-pound Xavier Jones, and starting running back, 208-pound Darrell Henderson.

No player weighs more than 208 pounds. The average weight of the five running backs is 196.6 pounds. The mean (if you are into that statistical stuff) for the running backs is 205 pounds. On paper, this is all just meaningless number crunching. To be relevant, these guys have to make positive things happen on the football field....

Anderson is a cut he will not make this team. Calais is a returner who happens to be a RB. The top three on the Rams' depth chart do lack a power RB type option however those three guys average 207 lbs which is not nearly as bad as that article makes things look.

The real conversation here is that McVay does not value physical backs. He likes speed, elusiveness, and guys who can catch the ball on third down. I feel like we need a physical back for short yardage but this is about what McVay wants from his backfield. Hopefully he has Snead bring a guy like that in though so we'll see.
