This is way too soon to come to much in the way of a conclusion. Not to mention that what happens on the practice field also matters. I'm still in favor of getting a big back for situations. But if we went by the first 20 or 30 carries of Cam Akers, then the assumption would have been that he's not a player. Finally it all came together and off he went. Not saying Jones is Akers. But he's not had a chance to show much of anything, especially with 2nd and 3rd string Oline blocking for him.
