Not sure how one can make a clear determination about our RB's after this one preseason game.... To me the OL was bad enough to preclude any real analysis of the RB's. That isn't to say I'm not concerned with the RB's... because bad OL play or not none distinguished themselves.
When any hint of daylight did flash it seemed to me XJones made the most of it but not in spectacular fashion. Calais's moves and burst on ST's certainly would make it seem he could be a dependable RB but his running stats last night don't... I think due to the OL.
Worst part for me about the offense last night was that other than Perkins most likely solidifying the #3 spot I don't see how last night's game answered any questions McVay and company had about the final O roster - - and that going into preseason game #2 they have the exact same questions as they did in game #1.
Compare to our D last night... where more than 1 player made a pretty darned good case that they should be on the final roster. - JamesJM
