Florida Ram: just saying that, in my mind, I agree with your point that the numbers change is no big deal. Some of us, me for sure, will just have to get used to it.

That ice cream line is from a poem by Wallace Stevens called The Emperor of Ice Cream. The poem is about death, about mystery and unknowableness of of it in contrast to the simple, knowable, if seemingly futile or banal, pleasures of life.

Like eating a bowl of ice cream at someone's wake.
