Last year in that Arizona game Wolford dove head first or dropped down head first on runs at least 3 times.

After the game, I remember Merlin and I said he better quit that immediate or he will have a short career.

Turns out that is exactly what happened against Seattle.

Hopefully he will never ever slide head first again on a run again, but at this point he hasn't had a chance outside of practice to prove it.

Watch that Arizona game. He actually played well outside of the fact that he was completely oblivious of his own well being. Dude took at least 5 vicious shots to the head in that game.

We did discuss that too. After the game I was like "well the good thing is he's gonna be careful in the next game." And what does he do? Same thing, then takes another vicious shot to the head right away in Seattle that knocked him out.

Complete disregard for his own well being is not something you can have and be a guy the team can trust to stay healthy. Not at this level of ball.
