Here's what I think, the Rams have seen....
Evans is ok but not as good as Corbet at RG.
Corbet, would make a decent to good C, with a few growing pains no doubt and the Rams were happy and ready to roll with this.
Allen, was a relatively unknown, except for his few games two seasons ago, which people have judged with polar opposite responses. Also no-one was sure of how he was going to look after the injuries.
All through the off-season, Allen wasn't ready to participate, so Corbet was the answer.
But he was ready to get involved just recently and has used his off time well to improve his bulk and strength (as per Jourdan). Two things that were perceived as negatives for him.
So now Allen, has been able to demonstrate his new strength, aggression from pent-up frustration of not having played the past season and maybe football maturity....
And so it makes clear sense..
C Allen is as good as Corbet (or better?)
G Corbet is better than Evans
So get your best 5 on the field.
