I really enjoy the fans reports over the media reports....

To me the fans reports are not done to find a story line, or continue one...it seems to me they are just there open-eyed and taking things in organically.....their insight is more from the fans objective kinda....not narrative driven.....They give me the reader more of a sense of being there.
