It’s almost hard to believe that DaSilva is a Rams beat writer given some of these takes.

1. The OL is not worse, in fact it’s gonna be significantly better. Replacing Blythe is addition by subtraction, plus Edwards should be better if only from gaining valuable experience. Rams run blocking will be a team strength this year.

2. DL should be a push, at worst. We gain a healthy ARob from opening day and I love the depth from which Fox’s replacement will come. Heck, DL might just prove to be a slight improvement over last year.

3. How can OLB be worse this year? Ebu’s snaps were already being replaced by Hollins late last season and D improved at the same time. Ebu was not all that if we’re being honest. I do not understand DaSilva’s man crush on Ebu.

4. CB is a push, at worst, and frankly it might be a slight improvement. Hill was not strong in man coverage and Staley had to scheme around that fact. Long excels in man and has reportedly really stepped up his overall game. Burgess and Rochell are waiting in the wings in case Long stumbles or gets hurt. I absolutely love our CB situation.

5. JJ will be a loss but even he was not without flaws, including his speed. Fuller/Burgess are gonna be a more than adequate team at Safety and in some ways even better.

6. This is not a disagreement, but I do want to emphasize the magnitude of the improvement at both QB and WR. Neither is a modest upgrade, both are huge upgrades and I think we will see the evidence of that come September. These 2 upgrades are the essence of the Rams offseason and that can’t be overstated.

The rest of DaSilva’s piece I agree with. Lol.
